Europa Village is a one of a kind Wine Country destination offering an Old World European experience where service is gracious and unlimited. Bolero Restaurante at Europa Village takes our guests on a culinary journey throughout the country of Spain. Our menu celebrates the centuries old tradition of dining together, tapas style. Tapas are prepared typically in bite size offerings and made to be shared.

Europa Village is looking for an experienced Sous Chef. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, an understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures, and an excellent record of kitchen and employee management.  Experience with Spanish cuisine is a plus.

  • Executive Chef

Responsibilities Specific to Sous Chef:

  • Possesses and lives Europa Village core values.
  • Works closely with the Executive Chef to develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and guest demands.
  • Plans food design in order to create a perfect match between the dish’s aspect and its taste.
  • Produces high quality menu items.
  • Ensures the kitchen operates in a timely way to meet Europa Village’s quality standards.
  • Assists in recruiting and training the culinary team and assesses the team’s performance.
  • Manages the culinary team and the kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  • Provides support to the culinary and service team with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, dish plating and plate execution.
  • Assists with creating the weekly work schedule for the culinary team.
  • Resolves guest issues and concerns immediately.
  • Creates tasting menus for clients planning a special event at Europa Village.
  • Monitors and records inventory and orders supplies when needed.
  • Adheres to and implements sanitation regulations and safety regulations.
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Be comfortable working on your feet for the majority of your shift.
  • Be able to communicate Europa Village’s story.
  • Ability to treat all Villagers and guests in a respectful manner.
  • Arrive at work prepared with excellent personal presentation standards and clean, pressed uniform and appropriate shoes.
  • Arrive on time and be respectful of attendance and punctuality
  • Adhere to Europa Village’s policies and procedures.
  • Be hospitable, welcoming and exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to assist where necessary.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Compensation: $64,680.00 - $70,000.00 per year
