Europa Village is looking to fill the full-time position of Purchasing Agent. The ideal candidate must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must also have adequate physical strength to unload packages and product as well as the clerical skills to update records and follow up with vendors. Previous Food & Beverage Purchasing and Receiving experience is preferred.

Essential Purpose:
To oversee the operation of purchasing, shipping, receiving, and inventory functions. To order, receive, store, and deliver goods for the resort.

Responsibilities Specific to Position of Purchasing Agent: 
 
 Essential Duties:
  •  To Purchase all approved food, beverage, and operating supplies to meet daily resort needs while ensuring best value and quality.
  • To Receive and inspect all deliveries to confirm they match purchase orders, invoices, and resort standards.
  • To Maintain inventory and stock rotation across all storerooms to ensure accuracy, freshness, and proper supply levels.
  • To Deliver and distribute goods safely and efficiently to the appropriate departments.
  • To Manage vendor relationships and monitor market conditions to support smart purchasing decisions.
  • To Maintain accurate records and tracking systems for receiving, invoices, requisitions, and inventory reporting.
  • To Oversee liquor, beer, and wine storeroom operations, including ordering, stocking, and assisting with monthly and quarterly inventories. 
  • To Follow safety, cleanliness, and company policies, including proper handling of equipment and hazardous materials.
 Job Knowledge & Education

  •  Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English. 
  •  Knowledge of food and beverage products, proper handling, and storage. 
  •  Experience with purchasing, shipping, receiving, and tracking systems. 
  •  Familiar with OSHA, health department regulations, and hazardous material laws. 
  •  Resort or food & beverage experience preferred.

Working Conditions

  •  Works indoors and outdoors, including storage areas, coolers, and freezers. 
  •  Regularly transports goods across the property and handles customer issues. 
  •  Possible exposure to outdoor weather and biohazards. 
Physical Demands

  •  Walking/standing most of the shift; some desk work. 
  •  Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. 
  •  Regularly lifts up to 50 lbs.; occasionally moves heavier items using equipment. 
  •  Frequent phone use and customer interaction.

  •  Directly affects service quality, productivity, inventory costs, safety, and profitability.

Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
